Happy New Year

It is hard to believe that another year has gone by. I guess the saying is true, "The older you get, the faster time goes!" I would like to wish all my family and friends a great year to come. Praying always that God will protect you and keep you safe and healthy.

Thanksgiving 09

Thanksgiving 09

It was great to have almost everyone there. We enjoyed each others company and food. Grandpa really enjoyed the banana cream pie. I bet your wondering if he ate the whole pie? You'll have to ask him! Hopefully, next year we can have the whole clan!

Lightning Tackle

I know it is a blurr, but it was to the guy with the ball too! It happened so fast! That the camera couldn't get the next shot. Look Out! Out of nowhere arrives No.73, Joshua Stier, to help complete the tackle. Awesome job Josh!

New Addition To Our Family

On Wednesday, September 2, our new addition arrived. His name is Sammie Stier. He is a Shih Tzu. He is actually Charlie's brother. Same parents different litter. So Charlie is the older brother. We are very blessed because he is a sweet, adorable, and cuddly puppy. The other three just love him. I will post a picture soon!

Greenwave Football

Football season has begun. Joshua is excited and likes it. My goal is to make it to every game, home and away because I remember my parents being there. Thanks Mom and Dad for the support!!! Luckily, I have Jessica to ride with me to the away games. We will meet Mike there since he works in Reno.(most of the away games are in that area) They have a scrimmage on August 22 and their first season game on September 3rd. As a mom, I am so excited and proud that he is getting involved in school and making lots of friends. Oh by the way, did I tell you he is now 6'2". Almost taller that his dad.

Jungle Book

Last night we went to Joshua's play, "The Jungle Book". The college here has a theater class every summer and Josh participated this year. He played Colonel Hathi and a tree. He had a great time. He has another performance tonight and one on Monday. The one on Monday is a special benefit performance for the choreographer. She has osteosarcoma. She is only 20 years old. The kids did awesome last night!!

Our new car

Okay well it is a used 2004 Prius, but it is new to us. We love it. On the average it gets 51-53 miles per gallon. This will really help with rising gas prices and Mike driving to Reno everyday. I will post pictures when I get them on my computer.

Heartbreak and another Angel in Heaven

We are sure faced with tough decisions in life! Today we put our beloved Tawny to sleep, June 13, 2009. She was very sick and not eating. She had lost 11 lbs in six months. Most of the weight loss was muscle mass. The vet said that she had a tumor in her stomach and couldn't do anything to help her. We know that she is in heaven with our Annie Girl running through the fields and happy. It was so hard! We miss her so much already! We decided to have her cremated like Annie and we will put her by Annie on our piano.

Car Accident

Yesterday Mike called me on his way home from work and said that he had been in an accident. Luckily, he was not hurt. He was stopped in traffic with a car behind him. The car behind that car, the lady was reaching for her water bottle. When she looked up, it was too late!!! She his the car behind Mike and that car hit him. Now we have to wait to see what our insurance will do. Scoring it totalled and having it replaced with a new car would be a blessing. It will depend on what it is worth and if it will cost the insurance company more to fix it than it is worth. It actually is worse than it looks in the pictures. We will see!!! We are very thankful that he wasn't hurt.

Eye Of The Tiger

The Jr. High has a Spring Jam every year and this year Joshua wanted to sing. He did a very good job. You should of heard the girls. I wish I would of recorded them. Screaming and Chanting Joshua's name. My talented son may one day be the next American Idol. I just can't believe how brave and outgoing he has become.

Acting--Future Star

Last week we went to Joshua's one act plays. The picture is him playing an Old Hawaiian Blind Man. He did an awesome job. Of course being the absent minded mother that I am---I forgot the camera/movie camera. So the picture is with my cell phone camera. He had two other plays that he was in and one of them a girl had to try and kiss him. I have never seen him run so fast!! Yes, I know that will end in a few years. Something that I don't look forward to. (Sorry picture will be posted soon)

Surgeries

Wow! I didn't really know families could have so many surgeries at a time. At the beginning of April, Joshua had his tonsils and adenoids out. He has recovered wonderfully! He comments that it is great to have all that room in there. His tonsils were huge. Just recently, Jessica had her gallbladder out. Yes, she is only 13. It is concerning because there seems to be quite a few young kids having them out. She is doing good though. We are four days past surgery and she is doing great. Also, Mike just had to have a root canal done. He had to go to a specialist because his roots are so deep. Now he has to have a crown on it. I am really hoping that May brings better health and FUN stuff! I am so thankful that the Lord has blessed my family with great results and that they are recovery wonderfully.

My Birthday Present

My awesome husband and wonderful children got me a new cell phone. I am sooooo... excited! My favorite feature is the touch screen. I told them that it will take me the next year to learn all the other features. I sure love my family!

Young Living Essential Oils

I have just become an independent distibutor. I have actually been using them the past 6 months with the help of a friend. I love the smell and theraputic aid that they give. I became a distributor to help my family and friends to become healthier, not to make money. If any of you are interested I can send you some information or order any product for you. You can also go onto young living website and review the products and history of each.

Patience

I am new to blogging! So far I have had lots of fun trying to figure it out. I am sure if I turned it over to my son, he would already have it figured out. I am looking forward to having fun!!!
